Rights and Responsibilities:

  • At Tanguay, we use personal information for administration purposes in order to have a better client experience. Your information is not disclosed at any time other than specified in our privacy policy. .
  • The document given to the client following a purchase is a purchase order. Tanguay reserves the right to accept or not to accept any order.
  • The client acknowledges having received a copy of the purchase order and he further acknowledges that Tanguay does not make installment sales nor any forward sales. Tanguay concludes exclusively to cash sales. Any financing of a purchase results directly with an agreement between the client and a specialized firm.
  • The client must read the owner’s manual / user guide and read the manufacturer’s warranty before usage.
  • The client is responsible for carefully checking the first statement of account issued by the financing firm to make sure everything is in order.

How to purchase

Scheduled deliveries
  • Tanguay L'Entrepôt will do its best to deliver your merchandise on the scheduled date. However, some unforeseen events may occur: difficult weather conditions, a supplier's delivery delay, mechanical breakdown of a truck, etc. For these reasons, Tanguay L'Entrepôt cannot be held responsible for any failure to meet the scheduled delivery date.
Invoice balance payable before delivery
  • If there is a difference between the payable balance indicated on your purchase order and the one indicated on your delivery slip, the amount appearing on the delivery slip will be considered accurate, and you will be required to pay it at the time of delivery. Certain conditions may alter the amount payable upon delivery.
  • The customer acknowledges that the ordered goods are in accordance with the description provided in the order and any catalogs, advertising brochures, or other materials. At the time of delivery, the customer must settle any outstanding balance by certified check or in cash. No merchandise will be left on-site if this payment is not settled.
  • When purchasing goods that are subject to a special order from the manufacturer, the customer must make a non-refundable deposit of at least 20% of the price. Please note that a special order cannot be canceled.
  • Tanguay L'Entrepôt sources its products from manufacturers and cannot be held responsible for their delivery times.
Order payment
  • Payment of the outstanding balance at the time of delivery must be made in cash, with a certified check, a money order, or by credit card.
  • If the customer pays for multiple orders with a certified check, it must be handed to the first delivery person.
  • Fees will be charged to the customer if an adult is not present at the specified address at the time of delivery or if they are unable to pay the outstanding balance at the time of delivery.
  • The customer can settle their financing account at any of our stores in cash, with a personal check, or by debit card.
Order delivery
  • The sales advisor shall not be held responsible for any delays in the delivery of ordered goods, and the customer acknowledges that any delivery delay can only be attributed to the manufacturer.
  • Delivery times vary depending on the availability of the merchandise and the delivery address.
  • The customer must ensure that the dimensions of door frames, stairs, and intended storage space are large enough to allow the delivery personnel to perform their work without constraints.
  • The customer's home entrance must be clear and accessible at the time of delivery.
  • If there is a balance to be paid upon delivery, the customer is required to hand the certified check or cash to the delivery person before the merchandise is unloaded from the truck.
  • The signature of an adult (18 years or older) is required upon delivery.
  • To prevent any damage, we recommend that the customer protect the floor coverings in their home.
  • For safety reasons, our delivery personnel must keep their shoes or boots on.
  • If necessary, the only doors our delivery personnel are authorized to remove are those with pivot hinges.
  • Our delivery personnel will unpack the merchandise at the time of delivery, except for items marked "assembly required," which must be assembled by the customer.
  • Our delivery personnel do not perform any electrical connections or furniture/appliance rearrangements unless the service is offered and/or purchased by the customer.
  • The customer must place their old mattress in the provided cover at the time of purchase so that the delivery personnel can handle it.
  • If we are required to take back the customer's old appliances, they must be previously disconnected and removed from their place of use.
  • Tanguay L'Entrepôt is not responsible for personal effects left in the merchandise collected by the delivery personnel.
Useful information about specific products
  • All household appliances are tested at the factory. Therefore, it is possible that there may be water remaining in the pumps.
  • It is normal for the seats of furniture purchased in our stores to lose firmness during the first few months of use, as the elasticity of the foam decreases up to a certain percentage.
  • Certain fabrics such as microfiber, velvet, and suede may reflect different colors depending on the angle of the fibers.
  • Some fabrics may have an excess of fibers that pill and create a fuzzy appearance. To remove the pills, we suggest that the customer use a device specifically designed for this purpose.
  • Any furniture can be altered if exposed to sunlight, placed near a heat source, or in a room with inadequate humidity levels.
  • On leather, insect bites, scars, and veining may be visible. This is perfectly normal since this material comes from animal hides.
  • Wood is a natural resource and may have irregularities or veins, or it may have been intentionally distressed to achieve the desired effect. The result of the finish or color will vary depending on the type of wood used or the desired effect.
Other services available
  • We offer customers a furniture installation service for bedroom furniture, electric beds, bed bases, kitchen furniture, living room furniture, TV bases, wall mounts, and audio-video equipment. We can also perform door reversal or appliance connection for items purchased in our stores. The customer should contact the service counter of the store where the purchase was made to take advantage of these services.
  • We also work in collaboration with several authorized service centers for electronics, computers, and appliances. The customer should contact the service counter of the store where the purchase was made to obtain the contact information for the service center in their region.
